WEBSITE DESIGN | INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE | ACCESSIBLE DESIGN | WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of working with an organization that’s incredibly close to my heart. This project is so special to me, and I’m thrilled that it’s finally live! But beyond the project itself, this experience gave me something deeper. Working on this website gave me the space to reflect and watch many inspiring TED Talks—each one restoring my faith in humanity. It’s a reminder that there are people out there, quietly fighting in their own ways to make the world better, to shift the course of humanity toward something greater. My 15-year-old self, who sat captivated by these talks, would be so proud of me right now. Maybe, building a website doesn’t sound like a big deal. But for me, it brought me closer to this incredible organization and, perhaps, a step closer to realizing my dream of one day giving my own TED Talk (you know you’ve had that dream too!)

MY ROLE
designed and developed the website, creating a user-friendly structure that made navigation simple and information easy to access. I focused on accessibility, following WCAG standards to make the site inclusive for all. The goal was to balance style with function, making the site both enjoyable and intuitive.
WHAT I LEARNT
This project really taught me how to design a website that’s easy to navigate and meets accessibility standards. I learned a lot about managing stakeholder expectations and keeping everything on track with realistic timelines. Plus, getting hands-on with website development was a great skill to add to my toolkit.

Now that I’ve gotten closer to that dream in some capacity, it’s time to set a new one. This past year has been horrific. The kind of news we see on the daily is too much for any person to bear. There have been moments of feeling small, powerless, and unsure of how I, just one person, can make a real impact. But deep inside, I know I have ‘ideas worth spreading.’ I want to contribute to social change, to reshape the world through my degree in HCI. If each one of us dares to dream boldly and acts with conviction, imagine what we could create—a world where technology heals, where it doesn’t just connect but bridges gaps, conserves the earth, and empowers the people. A world where diversity is not a buzzword but a celebration, where every voice matters and every story is heard. I don’t have all the answers right now. But then again, 10 years ago, I didn’t know how I would one day work with TEDx either. The path unfolds as we step onto it.
